Generals not Scrolling to right

I recently installed Generals on my win7 machine and while I can play it seems that it doesn't like to scroll to the right VIA mouse and screen edge (IE pushing mouse to the right side of the screen doesn't move the play field)

While I can move the play field w/the arrow keys it a pain in the backside as I either have to release the mouse or cross reach to do so.

Anyone out there have any idea how I can get the screen to scroll properly w/mouse again?

This is on the "original" (not TFD) generals updated to 1.08

You can also scroll via rightclicking and moving the mouse in the direction you want.
