DeSync?

ok just encountered this in a game where it normally loaded(online) and then at the very beggining of the game a box appeared and mentioned that somebody had desynced and that could cuase modding problems and that i should do something to prevent it from happening. So what is a desync? and how do I prevent it, the only strange thing was that when i clicked begin the timer was delayed but thats it.

after a desync it is best to restart the game to prevent future ones. And it happens from time to time to all of us. Nothing to worry about.

A desync is usually someone using a different patch or a mod or different version of a similar mod is being used in said match.

Best way to prevent it is to make sure you are using the correct patch, or even the correct version of a mod. simple enough to stop.

im using the latest patch and i dont have any threads installed so dont worry about it, it hasnt happened again

desyncs can heppen in 2 ways mainly:
1) one of the 2 players makes an action that the other players computer doesnt recognise(this is most commonly found to happen in hacks)
2) one of the 2 players suddenly falls out of synch with the other. Online gameplay puts both pcs in perfect sync with what is going on. if this synchronisation is broken, the game ends

could be a trainer being used too apt.

trainers can not be used online. I am yet to see one work let alone it causing a desync. plus trainers fall under the category of hacks
