Error message and C&C95 closing during gameplay

    Hi,

It seems to be random but I have an error causing C&C95 closing at anytime during gameplay on Windows 7 64bit.
I have the 1.06r patch and HIFI's ddraw.dll running if that helps.
Also it's the First Decade version of C&C95.

    Here's the screen : http://www.fotoshack.us/fotos/6653C&C%20issue.jpg

    Other system specs are :
    AMD 955
    4GB ddr3
    AMD 6950

Resolutions I've tried with ddraw are 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 and 1920x1080 and it happens on all of them

CnC-DDraw resolutions have no effect whatsoever on the game. It's just stretching of the video output. Also, there's no version '1.06r'. If you want to give me a version number, please just start the game and look at the main menu to get the full correct version. The "r" in my versioning is just a prefix for the Revision number anyway, so it doesn't mean anything.

From the information on the error message (address 004DBC37), all I know is that it crashes when the mouse cursor is changed, but unless I can be sure the address on the error is the same every time it crashes, I really can't draw any conclusions from that.

By the way, random errors could be caused by core desynchronization on dual/quad core machines. To solve that, you should change the core affinity of the game to 1 core. See the Common Problems thread in the TFD section for more information on that.
