Thread: GDI Reykjavik

  1. #41
GDI had so many bases who were important. Sure, the Philadelphia was the biggest and most important base. But the pentagon, seen here above, Hammerfast with their sonic and ion technology, Goddard Space Center in Maryland, Manchester with a major GDI headquarters, Andrews Airforce Base on the east coast of America- and so are there probably enough locations.

GDI and NOD have their important bases everywhere. It's not like they all have 1 base in 1 region that will be the heart of the organisation.

NOD's Sarajevo Temple, NOD Cairo Temple, Command Center Ayers Rock in Australia, Vega's Temple in South America, Hassans Temple in North Africa, Cabals Core in Cairo- you can continue.

    GDI's lists of headquaters

Tib 1: UN headquaters (safe to assume) so if I remember correctly New York
Tib 2: Philidelphia space station...ground Hammerfest
    Firestorm: Temporairly Southern Cross

Tib 3: Reykjavik, Pentagon, and I guess you could say InOps as well
Tib 4: For a time Manchester England, and then moved to New Adana (assuming New Adana is in the same place as actual Adana that would be Turkey

So thinking about it GDI's headquarters has jumped around the planet plenty and was not always in the USA

I would like to see new HQ one they havent done before, maybe somewhere that isnt such an easy target for nod to attack. but i do reckon new gdi hq should have FS defense system in place

No place is safe from either faction even if it has FS defense system in place. Maybe the best thing to do is disappear like Kane does and reappear later.

yeah you got a point there eddy. what i was thinking of though was somewhere , where nod cant terrorist bomb like they did in the beginning of dawn, and then when they blew up philadelphia.

I say they should just make the HQ the entire moon and put the space defense center on it so that way nod can't shoot WMD at it with success

Decentralize the leadership, and just meet via Teleconference.

If years ago they could send men to the moon and walk on it then maybe Kane and Nod could send missiles on a one way trip to the moon. Also just a thought. Maybe the Scrin Tiberium seeded the moon plus the other planets in the solar system, and on the moon due to different factors Tiberium is taking longer to grow.

Also another thought. The Scrin took over 1,959 "cycles" to arrive in the solar system. After arriving, the Scrin continued to wait in suspended animation for a further 9,210 cycles, until their artificial intelligence awakened them and we know how that happened. How long is a Scrin "cycle" and would they travel and "hibernate" for that long whatever that is just to seed and harvest Earth.

Nah, GDI must show itself never to learn lessons from the past, so they get screwed by Nod again, and again, and again. Only to rise up and win again, and again, and again.Quintessential GDI.

Honestly though, decentralizing the leadership is something the current world leaders seem unwilling to do, and I don't see that changing even with a fictional GDI. Only Nod has the idea, as shown in TS with the teleconference of the Inner Circle.

I will respect your opinion as long as you respect mine.
